you and your loved ones

Together in the same shot

My Dad was the one photographing in my family. He photographed our vacations; Mum, Granny, her sister and brother-in-law, my brother and I, tightly squeezed together on the little vacation cabin porch. He photographed the athletes he coached; running and jumping boys and girls, proud medalists beaming into the camera. He photographed the light summer evenings by the little lake at Granny's cottage, and us kids jumping from the roof down into the deep snow in midwinter. Sometimes he and Mum would put the photographs into little sticky albums smelling of new plastic and send them to older relatives for Christmas, to summarise the past year.

I have about 3 billion pictures from my father, but almost no photos of him. And I have only one single photo of just him and me. It’s my favourite photograph, and one of the biggest reasons for my choice of career.

I want you to have pictures of you and your family, you and your friends - where you are all together.

You won't find me at bigger parties - unless I'm there photographing of course - capturing those moments, that will turn into your memories.

My own wedding was really tiny. We eloped and got married on a snowy mountain in the north of Sweden, both dressed in our most not-so-very-romantic ski wear, all gray and black... However, I did remove the helmet before saying yes, and there was sunshine, both inside and out, and I couldn't have wished for a better day.

My family is almost as tiny as the wedding. Its me, my husband and our very furry, slightly mad, but highly beloved, sweet dog, whose biggest interest in life is cheese, herding sheep and crazy-swimming in summer lakes.

My name is Åsa, and I love everything good: food, coffee, wine, music, long walks, and stories

I consider animals and my telemark skis a source of true happiness. I'm completely convinced that LCHF stand for "(a) Little Chocolate (Champagne) Helps Fine" - and I can't imagine a better spent evening than chatting about life with friends and family over a cosy candle lit good meal.

 Let’s meet up for coffee!
